Tre’ Kelley scored his 1000th career point as a Gamecock. It happened at 11:10 in the first half (1000 even). He is the 39th Gamecock to score 1,000 points in his career at USC.

USC had four players in double figures. Last time that happened: March 21, 2006 (at FSU, USC won 69-68 in OT).

Dominique Archie is the first USC freshman to score 20+ points his freshman year since Rolando Howell scored 20 points in a 78-65 loss to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament on March 9, 2001. He is the first freshman to have a double-double since Brandon Wallace collected a double-double at The Citadel on Dec. 3, 2003 (10 PT, 11 REB). The 20 points was a career high and he also recorded a career high 10 rebounds. It is the first double-double of his career.

Brandon Wallace recorded a career high 20 points. His previous high was 19 points against Louisville on March 28, 06.

Brandis Raley-Ross is in double figures for the third straight game. Tre’ Kelley is in double figures for the fourth straight game this year and the 47th time in his career.

USC had its first lead (2nd, 18:11). USC went on a 17-2 run since the 1:39 mark in the first half, ending with a two by at LU at 18:00.

Carolina ended the first half on a 9-0 run. USC started 1-of-5 from the field and then went on to hit 11 of their last 17 shots of the first half.

This was the first meeting between the two teams.
