Henderson showed steady improvement in both her indoor and outdoor track seasons. During indoor track she established a 3K PR of 10:38. In outdoors she raced the 5k, setting a new PR of 18:43. Henderson is looking forward to contributing more to the cross country team this year while continuing to improve her times.

Henderson was a four-year varsity letter athlete in cross country and track at Marietta High School. She also lettered as a member of the swimming and diving team. During her high school career, Henderson was a member of the All-County (Cobb) Team, Marietta Daily Journal Runner of the Week and two- time Cross Country individual state qualifier. She was the captain of the women's cross country and track teams her senior year. She received the Cross County Coach's Award her senior year. She received the Track Distance MVP Award her freshman, sophomore and senior years. She currently holds the Marietta High School records in the 5K (19:27) and 3,200-meter run (11:35). Her 1,600-meter run PR was 5:18.

Henderson was a member of National Honor Society and Math Honor Society. She was a Scholar-Athlete and graduated with High Honors in the International Baccalaureate Program.
