2012 Cross Country Highlights

Capstone Scholar

Grove graduated from Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, Calif., after earning 12 varsity letters in cross country, soccer, and track & field. She qualified for two California State Cross Country Championships as an individual, with a 15th-place finish in 2009 and a 21st-place finish in 2010. Grove was a four-time CIF Southern Section finalist and earned All-CIF honors (top 10) in 2010. She captured six individual league titles and was captain of both the cross country and track & field teams in her junior and senior years. Grove holds PRs of 17:21 in the three-mile and 11:28 in the 3,200-meter run.

She was named 2011-2012 Sportswoman of the Year and also was a three-time winner of the Distinguished Athlete Award at Bishop Montgomery. She earned 12 Scholar-Athlete awards and graduated with a 4.4 GPA. Grove was also a four-year member of the Surf Team, serving as captain during her senior year. She enters the 2012 fall semester as a Capstone Scholar and plans to major in exercise science.
