In his first season with the Gamecocks is director of volleyball operations Shane Wilkinson after spending the previous three years in the same role at Ohio State. With the Gamecocks, Wilkinson will coordinate South Carolina's travel and general program operations, serve as co-camp director, help organize on-campus recruiting, work on video and team statistic breakdown and work with the marketing team.

At Ohio State, Wilkinson helped with video exchange, video breakdown and statistical analysis while coordinating team travel and community service opportunities.

Previously, he worked at Ball State, leading the team's efforts with new technology while assisting with team travel, equipment, video and statistical work.

He also worked as general manager of Ball State's student radio station, helping the station claim seven Communicator Awards in 2007, the most in station history. Wilkinson served as play-by-play announcer for the Cardinals' basketball and men's volleyball teams.

Wilkinson earned his bachelors from Ball State in telecommuncations in 2008.
