Gamecocks Head North For ITA Regional Tournament

Oct. 18, 2017

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — South Carolina women's tennis returns to action this weekend for the ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the University of North Carolina. Tournament action is set for Oct. 19-23 with draws and schedules coming out at a later time.

This will be Carolina's first competition since Mia Horvit and the doubles tandem of Hadley Berg and Paige Cline competed in the ITA All-American Championship at the start of the month.

"I think the expectations are to continue to commit to the values of this program," associate head coach Jeff Nevolo said. "We want to see tough competition from everyone. Fight for every point. Really focus on the little things that will make us better. It's great to get back out there and competing."

An updated schedule with draws as well as opponent information will be updated when available. Continue to check with gamecocksonline.com for more information.

"I think we're making progress toward our identity," Nevolo said. "I think we're going to learn a lot more about our team in the next couple weeks. I think we've got a group of tough kids. Talented kids. It's going to be great to see how that continues to grow in the next couple weeks."
