Gamecocks Bring Home Three Tournament Champions From TCU

Fort Worth, Texas — South Carolina women’s tennis produced with one doubles and two singles champions on the final day of the Big 5 Tournament at Texas Christian University on Sunday.

Silvia Chinellato and Megan Davies started the day with a quick and smooth 6-2 doubles victory over Sabrina Federici/ Sarah Dvorak of Texas Tech. From there, Hadley Berg defeated her fourth ranked foe of the tournament in a dominate 6-3, 6-4 two-set victory over Virginia’s Meghan Kelley.

Davies finished the day with more hardware in a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win against Bella Lorenzini of Michigan. Both Davies and Berg finished the weekend with an unblemished singles record on their way to being named a tournament champion.

In doubles, Chinellato and Davies finished the weekend with an impressive 3-1 record as they were named a tournament champion doubles duo.
