The two went undefeated in Big West play and won a pair of matches in the Big West Tournament to help Long Beach State earn its eighth all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament ... Reached the semifinals in singles at the CSF Fall Intercollegiate in October after winning her first three contests ... Played the first six matches of the spring at No. 2 singles ... After losing her opening match to Alison Ramos of Southern California, Alawi won her next three matches and lost just five games in six sets ...
