Her first match back came against South Carolina State on Jan. 22 and resulted in a 6-2, 1-0 win by retirement ... Started the season by winning four of her first five matches playing at Nos. 5 and 6 singles ... Took three consecutive losses to Clemson, Arkansas and LSU playing at six before winning her last dual singles match of the year playing against College of Charleston ... Her primary doubles partner was Madeleine Saari-Byström ... Played every dual match with her at the No. 2 position, going 4-4 ... The duo came up with key road victories at Purdue and Illinois to help the Gamecocks win both matches ... Her last doubles match of the year came in the regular-season finale versus Florida teaming with Dijana Stojic on court two ... Ended the year with an 11-7 record overall in singles and went 3-2 playing No. 4 singles ... Named to the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll. HIGH SCHOOL: Competed at the 2008 European Junior Championships in Austria ... Defeated Demi Barao-Rodrigues from Portugal 6-2, 6-2 in the round of 64 before losing 6-2, 6-2 to Elena Bogdan from Romania in the second round ... Lost in the opening round of the doubles with Hilda Melander 10-8 in a third set super tiebreaker ... Also represented Sweden in the team portion of the European Championships ...
