COLUMBIA, S.C. - Fans wanting a free preview of the 2012 Gamecock softball team are invited to Beckham Field on Friday afternoon, as the team will host a intrasquad scrimmage at 3 p.m. EST.

It will be the only chance to see the team on the field prior to the season opener, which is set for 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 against Tennessee State as part of the Palmetto Classic. There is no admission to Friday's scrimmage.

Season tickets are on sale for the 23-date home schedule online, at the Gamecock ticket office at Colonial Life Arena or over the phone at 1-800-4SC-FANS (1-800-472-3267). Adult season tickets are $25, while youth 17 and under get season tickets for $10 each.

And don't forget about the Carolina Alumni Association Baseball/Softball Preview Party on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. in the USC Fieldhouse, located across Marion St. from Stone Stadium.
