2013 (JUNIOR): Started all 59 games at second base batting third ... Led the Gamecocks in on-base percentage (.463) and hit-by-pitches (25), the latter a new school record ... Her 25 HBP's led the Southeastern Conference and ranked ninth in NCAA Division I per game (0.42) ... The .463 OBP ranked fifth in a single season at South Carolina ... Her .352 batting average stood second on the team ... Stole seven bases without being caught ... Had an RBI in all four games in the Stetson Lead-Off Classic (2/8-10) ... Recorded the first of her three-hit games with a double in the Buffalo win (2/16) ... Drove in three with a double in the 2-for-3 outing versus Radford (2/24) ... Also went 3-for-3 against Alabama State (3/2), scoring and driving in three runs in the win ... Capped three-consecutive multi-hit games with a four-hit day against Coastal Carolina (4/10) ... 2012 (SOPHOMORE): Started 54 of 55 games at second base ... Stood third on the team in doubles (10) while leading the way with seven hit-by-pitches ... Stood fifth in both runs (25) and RBI (24) ... Hit .285 while tallying 47 hits, fourth-most on the squad ... Posted 10 RBI in 14 chances with a runner at third and less than two outs, the best success rate on the team ... Had four multi-hit games in her season-opening six-game hitting streak, including a 3-for-4 day against Western Kentucky (2/11) ... Doubled in consecutive games against Cleveland State (2/12) and Providence (2/17) ... Posted a pair of two-RBI doubles in the win over Winthrop (2/22) ... 2011 (FRESHMAN): Started 50 games for the Gamecocks, all at second base ... Tied for the team lead with 28 RBI while standing second with 27 runs scored ... Hit .280 with five doubles ... Made just four errors while posting a .981 fielding percentage, ranking second on the team with 98 assists ... Served as a pinch runner twice during the Palmetto State Showdown, scoring a run in her debut against Charleston Southern (2/11) ... Started for the first time against Georgetown (2/18) and never came out of the lineup...Against the Hoyas, she went 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases ... Starting with the game at Winthrop (3/2), she had a hit in nine of the next 10 games, including six two-hit games in the stretch ... Four times in that period she drove in two runs while driving in three an additional time ... Ended that span with a 2-for-3 performance with two runs and two stolen bases ... Named SEC Freshman of the Week on March 8 for her exploits ... Went 2-for-3 with her first career triple, two runs and three RBI in the win at Coastal Carolina (3/22) ... That was the third game of her season-best six-game hitting streak ... Posted her first career home run in a 3-for-4 outing in the first game at Arkansas (4/16) ... Later stole two bases in the final game of the series against the Razorbacks (4/17) ... Earned placement on the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: Collected four softball letters from coach Steve Soubasis at Timber Creek High School ... PERSONAL: Dana Nichole Hathorn was born to parents Jim and Kelly ... Her dad played baseball at LSU while her grandfather Conley played basketball for the Tigers ...
