Eight Gamecock women's golfers were named as USC Scholar Athletes for their achievements in the classroom. The award is given to Gamecock student-athletes who post a grade point average of 3.0 or above during the school year. Student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher GPA are also named to the USC Dean's List while anyone achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA is named to the President's List.

The women's golf team traditionally carries one of the highest team GPA's of all USC squads and was honored in March for having the highest fall GPA of all Gamecock teams with a 3.430.

Heading up the list was sophomore Erica Battle who has earned President's List and Dean's List status three times in her year-and-a-half at South Carolina and is majoring in marketing/real estate. Junior Tiffany Catafygiotu is majoring in accounting and is a two-time Dean's List member. Sophomore Laura McCaslin has been named to the Dean's List twice and is majoring in sports and entertainment management studies. Senior Kory Thompson is a senior majoring in sport and entertainment management. Sophomore Megan Miller made the Scholar-Athlete list as a broadcast journalism major while senior Marci Robinson is majoring in advertising.

In her first year at South Carolina, freshman Jenna Pearson is majoring in civil engineering.

Senior Adrienne Gautreaux made the Presiden'ts list after her first semester of graduate school work in hotel, restaurant and tourism management. Gautreaux graduated in the spring of 2003 with a degree in psychology.
