Samone Kennedy Named AgSouth Athlete of the Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Samone Kennedy from the women's basketball team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week. Kennedy swiped a career-high seven steals in win over High Point, helping lead the Gamecocks to 23 fast-break points while netting a season-high 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting. She leads the team with 23 assists through the first seven games (3.3 per
game) and is currently averaging 10.6 points, more than double her 5.2 points per
game last season. Kennedy adds 3.1 rebounds per game as well.
