Gamecocks Add Four Games to Television Schedule
Women's basketball adds four non-conference games to eight SEC contests to be televised this season.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - As part of its multi-year deal with Gamecock IMG Sports Marketing, Fox Sports has announced four University of South Carolina women's basketball non-conference games will air on SportSouth this season. The addition of the non-conference games expands the Gamecocks' television appearances to 12 for the 2011-12 season, including three SEC games on various Fox Sports networks.

After releasing their SEC television schedule last week, South Carolina learned it will play its first televised game of the season on Sun., Nov. 20, against Penn State. As part of a doubleheader with the Gamecock men's team, the matchup with the Lady Lions will tip off at 3 p.m.

SportSouth also chose to air the Gamecocks' outings against in-state foes College of Charleston (Nov. 23), Presbyterian (Nov. 27) and Furman (Dec. 11).

South Carolina opens practice for the 2011-12 campaign on Mon., Oct. 3.
