  • SEC Co-Athlete of the Week (March 22) after taking two big wins over SEC opponents and helped give the Gamecocks their first road victory over Ole Miss since 1993
  • Selected to participate in the NCAA Singles Championship, fell to Andre Grandson (61) of California
  • Compiled a 27-16 record, including a 7-5 SEC record
  • Defeated five ranked opponents on the year, including the nations No. 24 ranked singles player
  • Advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Coaches Classic (JR Draw)
  • Compiled an impressive 18-8 dual match record with Yancy Dennis in doubles play, including an 11-5 record in the No. 1 spot and a 7-5 record in the SEC

ATHLETICS

  • Led the team in nearly every major category, including singles wins (31), dual-match singles (18) and SEC (8) wins, doubles wins (19), dual-match doubles wins (14), and tied for the team lead in three-set wins (7)
  • Etched his name in the record books for one of the best sophomore seasons in school history with 31 singles wins (sixth most by a sophomore in school history), eight SEC singles wins (fourth), 14 doubles wins (eighth) and 50 combined wins (eighth)
  • Ranked as high as No. 65 in singles while earning rankings with three separate doubles partners, including Thomas Mayronne (No. 32), Alex Fennell (as high as No. 51) and Gabriel Friedrich (as high as No. 35)
  • Posted a 31-13 singles mark, including 18-9 in dual matches and 8-4 in the SEC
  • Finished 19-16 in doubles play, including a 14-10 dual mark
  • Captured a team-leading four match-clinching wins, including SEC matches at No. 56 Vanderbilt (Mar. 10) and against Tennessee (Mar. 27)
  • Earned ranked victories against the Nos. 49 and 108 ranked players
  • Posted an 11-1 record in matches following a loss
  • Closed the regular season strong, winning five of his last seven SEC singles matches

ATHLETICS

  • Was on pace to post one of the best freshman seasons in program history before injury cut his season short in mid-March
  • Posted a 20-8 singles record that included a 13-4 mark in dual matches and a 3-1 SEC slate
  • Also outstanding in doubles in his debut season, paired with fellow freshman Thomas Mayronne as the tandem climbed as high as No. 44 in the nation before his season-ending injury dropped them to No. 71 in the final rankings
  • Went 19-11 on the season in doubles, including a 12-7 dual-match record with Mayronne
  • Won four of his last five singles matches, including three in SEC action
  • Captured the team's lone point against Tennessee (Mar. 14) in his final singles match of the season
  • Took his lone ranked singles opponent to three sets (Texas A&M, Mar. 8)
  • Shook off early nerves of SEC play to win four of next five doubles matches with Mayronne
  • Opened dual-match play winning nine of his first 11 matches, playing in the Nos. 4 and 5 positions
  • Claimed his first SEC singles victory against Auburn (Feb. 26)
  • Posted a season-best ranked win over No. 19 tandem in the nation. playing in the top spot in the doubles lineup with Mayronne as the Gamecocks clinched the doubles point against NC State (Feb. 8)
  • Reached the round of 32 in singles at the ITA Carolina Regional
  • Burst onto the college doubles scene with Mayronne, advancing to the final of the SEC Fall Classic, winning three matches in tiebreaks, including one over a ranked opponent, in their first collegiate event

  • Played two seasons at Smith Stearns Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, S.C., after helping his high school team to the state title in 2011
  • Yielded just one game in singles throughout his run to the Virginia High School League Group AA championship
  • Won two USTA titles in 2013, including the USTA Regional in Mobile, Ala., and reached at least the quarterfinals of four other events that season
