ATHLETICS

  • Climbed to No. 49 in the final individual rankings
  • Stepped into the No. 1 singles and doubles positions in his first year of collegiate competition
  • Advanced to the second round of the NCAA Singles Championship after defeating the nation's No. 30-ranked player in three sets in the opening round
  • Led the team in wins over ranked opponents, topping No. 18, 30, 44, 54 and 88 players in the nation
  • Entered the singles ranking during a four-week stretch from March to April in which he won six of nine matches
  • Led the team in seven-point tiebreak wins, going 7-3
  • Posted a team-leading three SEC doubles wins and went 5-3 in doubles after pairing with sophomore Harrison O'Keefe.
  • Alongside O'Keefe, topped a pair of ranked foes (No. 24 and No. 19) to move to No. 41 in the doubles rankings
  • Turned in an 11-5 fall singles record, highlighted by winning the USTA Clay Court Invitational Singles title at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla.
