    Barcelona, Spain - Tracey Richardson and Dean Emmerton represented the University of South Carolina swimming and diving team at the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona, Spain last week. Richardson made her second appearance in the World Championships while Emmerton was making his first.

    Richardson competed in the three-meter spring board where she placed 28th by tallying 244.92 points. Richardson, a junior at USC, represented her home country of England.

    Emmerton, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., represented South Africa in the championships in the one-meter and three-meter spring board championships. In the one-meter, Emmerton finished 32nd with 245.97 points while finishing 39th in the three-meter.
