Baladez Named College Soccer News National Player Of The Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina freshman midfielder Bradlee Baladez has been named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday. Baladez enjoyed a banner week for the Gamecocks. The rookie from Mesquite, Texas, scored the game winner in both of South Carolina's matches, a 1-0 road win at Wake Forest, and a 3-2, come-from-behind win over UAB in the Conference USA opener for Carolina.
Baladez scored the game winner versus the Demon Deacons on an unassisted tally in the sixth minute, and followed with a goal in the 88th minute of action vs. UAB to clinch the game for South Carolina. Baladez is tied for the team lead with three goals on the year, while he leads the team with three game-winning goals.
Baladez is the first freshman to earn the Player of the Week honor this season.
