Men's Soccer Holds Annual Awards Banquet|

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The South Carolina men's soccer team held its annual awards banquet this week, with the group in attendance celebrating the 2011 Conference USA Regular Season Championship and the team's selection to the 2011 NCAA Tournament. The student-athletes also received their championship rings and celebrated success in the classroom. Mark Berson's team made its 20th appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament in 2011.
Senior midfielder Vance Benson was awarded the team's John Johnson MVP Award, sophomore forward Bradlee Baladez was named the Brian Winstead Offensive MVP, and senior midfielder Stephen Morrissey earned the Bill Lauritzen Defensive MVP Award. Central defenders junior Eric Martinez and junior Kevin Stam shared the Coaches Award, and senior Andre Bahri and redshirt-freshman Hunter Wyer were co-winners of the Strength and Conditioning Award, which was presented by strength coach Dan Austin.
The team also honored those that earned All-Conference awards and academic awards throughout the year.
