USC signee Koon receives prestigious Jay Haas Award 2005 USC signee Allen Koon was honored wednesday as South Carolina's top junior golfer. A large crowd was in attendance as the S.C. Junior Champion and Player of the Year accepted the award from PGA tour standout Jay Haas. Also in attendance were former Jay Haas Award recepients and USC players Kyle Thompson and Michael Maness.

Greenville youngster named 2005-06 Honorary Team Captain. Ten-year-old Zachery Elliott is pictured with USC golf coaches Puggy Blackmon and Curt Sanders along with former USC All-American and current PGA player Kyle Thompson as he accepts his team golfbag. Zachery loves the game of golf and is a big Gamecock fan. Zach and his incredible attitude has been a great inspiration to all of us, stated coach Puggy Blackmon. We look forward to his recovery so he can enjoy some time with us on the links.
