The win was Huskey's fourth of his career at Carolina, tying him with All-Americans Matt NeSmith (2012-16) and Carl Paulson (1990-93) for the second most wins all-time in Gamecock men's golf history. His 201 at Golf Club of Houston marked a new career 54-hole low and tied him for the fourth lowest 54-hole score in program history. He led the field with 18 birdies and had just three bogeys the entire tournament.

Huskey (71.54) passed NeSmith (71.62) with his superb performance in Texas for the No. 1 spot on the career scoring average list at South Carolina.
