Gene Sprayberry enters sixth year as the South Carolina club fitting technician. Prior to working for the Gamecocks, Sprayberry was the PGA head golf professional from 1978-89. While working for the PGA, Sprayberry was also a GCS Class A Golf Course Superintendent.
During his career as a club technican, Sprayberry has earned several awards, including National Clubmaker of the Year in 2001 and 1996.
Sprayberry, and his wife Boots, resides in Columbia, S.C. The Sprayberrys have two children, Catherine and Joseph.
