2010-11 Competed in six varsity tournaments and one Garnet Team event... Had two top-20 finishes as a freshman...Earned best career finish and posted season-best total at first collegiate event, shooting 72-72-70=214 at Mason Rudolph Championship to tie for 17th place along with teammate Dean Hester... Earned a second top-20 finish playing as an individual at the Insperity Augusta State Invitational with rounds of 73-73-71=217... Just missed a third top-20 but shot his best varsity round of the year in the final round of the SEC Championship, posting a weekend total of 73-76-69=218 to tie for 21st in his first appearance at the league tournament... Almost had another top-20 at the Kiawah Intercollegiate, shooting 74-73-83=230 to tie for 22nd place... In his one Garnet Team appearance, finished as runner-up at the Barefoot at the Beach with rounds of 74-68-65=207... Final season scoring average was 74.89, ranking third on the squad.
PRIOR TO SOUTH CAROLINA Was a six-year letterwinner for Wando High School... Two-year member of all-state team... Named The Post and Courier Golfer of the Year in 2010... Winner of Patriot Invitational... 2009 South Carolina Junior Amateur Champion... Runner-up at Charleston City Amateur Championship... Won five times in 2008 and 2009, including the 2009 Blade Junior and 2008 George Holliday... Finished fourth at 2008 SCJGA Players Championship... Finished in the top 30% of his high school class.
