The South Carolina football squad remained 17th in the USA TODAY/Coaches poll but slipped one notch to 18th in the Associated Press poll released today. The Gamecocks are ranked among the nation's Top-25 squads for the 12th consecutive week.

The Gamecocks (8-3, 5-3 SEC) are coming off an impressive 69-24 win over Troy. South Carolina features a 1,000-yard rusher in Marcus Lattimore and a 1,000-yard receiver in Alshon Jeffery. It's the first time in school history that Carolina has had a 1,000 yard rusher and receiver in the same season.

South Carolina will travel to Clemson on Saturday, November 27, for a 7 p.m. Palmetto State showdown with the Tigers. The contest will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with Carter Blackburn, Mike Bellotti and Brock Huard describing the action.

South Carolina will face SEC Western Division Champion Auburn (11-0, 7-0 SEC) on Saturday, December 4 in Atlanta for the SEC championship. Auburn is ranked second in the nation in both polls this week. It will be Carolina's first trip to the SEC title game.
