The South Carolina football squad dropped in the national polls following its 31-28 loss at Kentucky on Saturday.

The Gamecocks (4-2, 2-2 SEC) are ranked 19th in this week's Associated Press poll and 20th in the latest USA TODAY/Coaches poll, both released today. They moved down nine spots in the A.P. poll and eight notches in the coaches' poll after being ranked 10th and 12th in last week's polls, respectively.

The Gamecocks are the highest-rated two-loss team in both polls and the only team from the SEC Eastern Division in the Top 25.

The Gamecocks will look to get back on the winning track next Saturday night when they travel to Nashville to face the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-4, 1-2 SEC). Game time is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FSN. Rich Waltz will have the play-by-play with Tim Couch providing the color commentary. Jenn Hildreth will be the sideline reporter.
