Gamecocks Inch Up in Polls

The University of South Carolina football team rose three notches in the Associated Press poll to number 15 in the country, and one spot in the USA Today/Coaches poll to number 13, it was announced today. The Gamecocks (5-1, 3-1 SEC) are coming off a convincing 54-3 rout of the Kentucky Wildcats. Up next for Carolina is a trip to Starkville to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-3, 0-3 SEC) in a 12:21 pm ET start on Saturday, Oct. 15. The Gamecocks will return to the practice fields Monday night at 7 pm.
