Former junior college player who returns for his final season in the Garnet & Black... enters the fall listed on the second team at defensive tackle... steady performer who earned the Most Improved Defensive Tackle award in the spring... very quick and strong player... has made three career starts.

2007: Joined the Gamecock squad in January and went through spring drills... played in all 12 games last fall, making three starts... got regular playing time in the defensive line rotation... earned the starting nod against Kentucky, North Carolina and Vanderbilt in the middle of the season... recorded 13 tackles overall, including nine solo stops... earned his first start against Kentucky and made a key play early in that contest when he sacked quarterback Andre Woodson for a 17-yard loss and forced a fumble that was recovered by Eric Norwood and taken into the end zone for a score... had a season-high two tackles against five opponents... earned the Big Play Award for the defense following the spring game.

2004-06: Played at Mississippi Delta CC in Moorhead, Miss., for Coach Jay Miller... was a two-year starter for the Trojans after initially enrolling at Independence (Kan.) J.C... was a first-team all-state selection in the Mississippi junior college ranks in 2006... received a four-star ranking from Scout.com and a three-star ranking from Rivals.com... Rivals.com considered him the 44th-best JUCO prospect.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Glenn Hills High School in Augusta, Ga., in 2004... earned all-state honors as a senior and all-area honors during both his junior and senior seasons... played for Coach Felix Curry... named his school's Best Defensive Lineman for three straight years... also played high school basketball... as a high school senior he received offers from Alabama and Auburn among others.
