Sophomore who is the favorite to take over the starting strong safety position entering the spring... gained some valuable experience last fall after coming back from a broken arm suffered early in fall camp.

2011: True freshman who enrolled in the spring after spending the previous fall at Fork Union Military... penciled in as a possible starter entering the fall... suffered a broken arm during fall camp, which kept him sidelined for the first four weeks of the season... made his Gamecock debut against Auburn... played in eight contests... collected 11 tackles including eight solo stops... made the start against Florida replacing an injured DeVonte Holloman... had a pair of tackles against Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee... named Most Improved among the safeties in the spring.

2010: Signed with South Carolina in February... attended Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy where he was a four-star prospect and the nation's sixth-best prep school player by Rivals.com... was a three-star prospect by Scout.com and 247Sports... coached by John Shuman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Northside High School in Warner Robins, Ga. in 2010... was the 5A Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-Middle Georgia and all-state first-team accolades... recorded 88 tackles, including 66 solo stops for the Eagles... had 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries... returned four kickoffs for touchdowns... participated in the GACA North-South All-Star Classic and earned the 2009 Golden Helmet Award... considered a three-star prospect, the state's 34th-best prospect and the nation's 36th-best cornerback by Rivals.com... rated a three-star prospect and the nation's 85th-best cornerback by Scout.com... regarded as a two-star prospect and the nation's 104th-ranked safety by ESPN.com... also considered Georgia Tech.
