Senior who adds experience to the linebacker corps... will compete with Rodney Paulk and Marvin Sapp for playing time at the weak side linebacker position... also a contributor on special teams... has developed into a leader... was limited some in spring following a biceps injury in 2006, but is expected to be at full strength this fall... has made nine career starts. 2006: Played in nine games making seven starts... accumulated 23 tackles including 17 solo stops... had 3.5 tackles for loss including a sack... picked off a batted pitch at the end of the Wofford game and returned it 44 yards to secure the Gamecocks' win over the Terriers... also had a sack in that contest... injured his ankle in practice the next week and did not play against FAU... suffered a torn biceps muscle against Florida and was not able to play in the final three contests. 2005: Played in 10 of 12 games making a pair of starts... credited with 31 tackles... had 3.5 tackles for loss including a pair of sacks... two starts came against UCF and Kentucky when the Gamecocks opened in a three-man front... recorded a sack among his season-high nine tackles in the season opener against UCF... forced a fumble against Kentucky... suffered a knee injury in the win at Arkansas and missed the remainder of the regular season... returned to play in the Independence Bowl game against Missouri. 2004: Special teams performer who also saw action as a reserve outside linebacker... appeared in all 11 games... contributed nine total tackles, including a season high four stops in the win over Vanderbilt... enjoyed an excellent offseason workout program in the winter of 2005. 2003: Redshirted as a true freshman. HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Belleview (Fla.) High in 2003... played for Coach Eddie Anderson... first-team all-state honoree as a senior after recording 145 tackles and nine interceptions... second-team all-state selection after rushing for 1,205 yards on 108 carries as a junior.
