2017: Fifth-year senior... played in all 13 games making one start... credited with 29 tackles including a sack... started in the season opener against NC State and made three tackles to go with a pass breakup... chalked up three tackles and his first career sack against Texas A&M... collected two tackles and two quarterback hurries in the win over Arkansas... tallied three tackles each in the victories over Tennessee and Vanderbilt... served as a team captain versus Vanderbilt... set a season high with seven stops at Georgia... shared the Community Service Award with Spencer Eason-Riddle... made nine career starts... graduated in May with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
2016: Played in every game, making eight starts... tallied 42 tackles and blocked a pair of field goal attempts... led the team with nine tackles against Mississippi State... made his first career start in the East Carolina win and had two tackles to go with a pass breakup and a blocked field goal.... was back in the starting lineup at Kentucky and tallied five tackles... started and led the Gamecocks with six tackles in the Tennessee win... tallied three tackles and blocked a field goal attempt at Clemson.
2015: Redshirted in his first season with the Garnet & Black... began his Gamecock career on the defensive line... was moved midway through the year to the offensive side of the ball where he worked at tight end.
2014: Finished up his two-year junior college stint at Butler (Kan.) Community College... coached by Troy Morrell... earned honorable mention all-conference accolades in the Jayhawk Conference at defensive end... credited with 43 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 2014 for a Grizzlies team that went 8-3... rated the No. 97 JUCO player in the country by Scout... regarded as the 21st-best JUCO player in the state, the 10th-best JUCO strongside defensive end in the country and the No. 119 JUCO player overall by 247Sports... ranked as the No. 9 junior college defensive end by ESPN.
2013: Played on the defensive line at Butler (Kan.) Community College... logged 19 tackles with two tackles for loss.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Oxford (Ala.) High School in 2013... selected Mississippi State out of high school.
PERSONAL: Ulric Shemon Jones was born Jan. 13, 1995... is an interdisciplinary studies major who graduated in May.
