Fifth-year senior defensive tackle... team leader and experienced player... a preseason second-team All-SEC selection by Phil Steele... remaining healthy is a key - focused much of his energies on his flexibility in the spring... key player in the interior of the Gamecock defense... earned his degree in criminal justice in May... has made 19 career starts among his 43 games played over the past four seasons.

2010: Returned from season-ending injury in 2009 to help anchor one of the top defensive fronts in the SEC... earned fourth-team All-SEC accolades from Phil Steele... started all 14 contests... had 42 tackles, including 10.0 for loss and 4.0 sacks... recovered two fumbles and forced one... posted his first two career sacks in win over Furman while finishing with five total tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss... logged four tackles at Auburn... had a sack and 2.0 tackles for loss and forced a fumble at Kentucky... named third-team Midseason All-SEC by Phil Steele... had a career-high seven tackles in win over Vanderbilt... posted four tackles, including a sack, and recovered a fumble in win over Clemson... had five stops in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Florida State... named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Scotland County High School in Laurinburg, N.C., in December 2006... coached by Mark Barnes... named his squad's Defensive End of the Year after recording 74 tackles with 7.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and four forced fumbles... named all-conference, all-region and team Defensive MVP... team reached the playoffs for three straight seasons... played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, where he had four tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery... logged three tackles and a pair of sacks in the Offense-Defense All-Star Game in Ft.
