Redshirt freshman quarterback who solidified his role as the number two signal-caller behind Blake Mitchell with his performance in the spring... completed 10-of-13 passes for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game... has good size and a good arm.

2005: Redshirted as a true freshman... made several roadtrips with the Gamecocks to gain additional experience.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Maryville (Tenn.) High School in 2005... played for Coach George Quarles... named the Tennessee 4-A Player of the Year... was also the 2004 Charles Greenhill Prep Player of the Year and the 2004 East Tennessee Prep Player of the Year... named to the USA Today "Old Spice Red Zone" team... threw for 2,361 yards and 35 touchdowns with only four interceptions in 2004... won 35 consecutive games and recorded a 43-1 record as a starter... three-year starter who won the state title as both a sophomore and senior... rated the-17th best player in the state of Tennessee by SuperPrep.
