Senior who is competing for all three kicking duties... has handled the kickoff chores in the past and came out of spring in a dead heat with Jay Wooten for those duties... also came on strong as a punter in the spring and is battling Patrick Fish for those responsibilities... could also be used as a placekicker.

2010: Served as the Gamecocks' kickoff specialist early in the season... appeared in five games... kicked off 17 times... put four kickoffs in the end zone for touchbacks.

2009: Joined the team in the spring... was not eligible in the fall as a transfer from Carson-Newman College.

2007-08: Earned two letters at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn... handled the kickoff duties... ranked fourth on the team with 31 points during the 2008 season... was 1-for-2 on field goal attempts and 28-of-32 on extra points... hit from 29 yards out against Tusculum... was 2-of-4 on extra point attempts in 2007.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Dutch Fork High School in 2007... played for coach Bill Kimrey... named all-area and all-state... also played soccer.

PERSONAL: Josef Scribner-Howard is the son of Mary Jo Scribner-Howard and Samy Tawfik and James Howard... pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
