Wednesday's Practice Report
2013: One of five senior scholarship players on the roster... second-year starter at the right guard position... consistent performer... started all 12 games in which he played... suffered a high ankle sprain in the fourth quarter in the win at Arkansas... the injury caused him to miss the Tennessee game, snapping a string of 19 consecutive starts... returned to the starting lineup at Missouri... made 25 career starts... earned a spot on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll for the third-straight year.
2012: Junior offensive guard who moved into the starting lineup for the first time in his career... started every game at right guard... joined senior center T.J. Johnson as the only two offensive lineman to start every game... member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2011: Sophomore offensive lineman who moved back to his more familiar position of guard in the spring after spending the 2010 season as the backup center behind T.J. Johnson... missed much of the spring after having surgery to remove a cyst behind his eye... played in nine of 13 games at the guard position... saw more action as the season progressed, playing in each of the last six contests... member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2010: Saw limited action as a reserve offensive lineman... played in three contests, appearing in the Southern Miss, Arkansas and Troy games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played offensive guard at Cocoa (Fla.) High School, graduating in 2010... named first-team all-state as selected by SunStateFootball.com... helped his team to a 14-0 record and the 3A title as a senior... earned All-Space Coast first-team honors as a senior... played in a postseason all-star game in Sebring, Fla... was a three-year starter for head coach John Wilkinson... played in a Wing-T offense... helped his team to the 3A state title and a 14-1 season as a junior... was named to the All-Space Coast first team and was a third-team all-state selection in 2008... was on a basketball squad that went 30-3 and claimed the 4A state title as a junior... considered a three-star prospect by Rivals.com... rated a three-star prospect and the nation's 48th-best offensive guard by Scout.com... regarded as a two-star prospect and the nation's 136th-ranked offensive guard by ESPN.com... had offers from Florida State, East Carolina, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky and New Mexico.
