2005: Named the Rivals.com National Freshman of the Year after leading the team with 70 catches for 1,143 yards and 13 touchdowns... a consensus first-team All-SEC and Freshman All-America selection... ranked first in the SEC and fifth in the country with 103.9 receiving yards per game, and third in the SEC and 25th in the country with 6.36 receptions per game... set the Carolina single-season records for receiving yards and touchdown catches... became just the second receiver in school history to eclipse the 1,000-yard plateau in a season (Sterling Sharpe - 1,106 in 1986)... established a school record by catching a touchdown pass in eight straight games and set the school record with six 100-yard receiving games... his 70 catches was the second highest single-season total in school history (Sterling Sharpe-74)... suffered a broken left little finger during pre-season drills and, after undergoing surgery, missed the season-opener against UCF... debut came against Georgia... responded with five catches for 70 yards including his first career touchdown... also caught five passes for 74 yards and a score against Alabama in his first collegiate start... caught five passes for a 91 yards and a touchdown against Troy... caught a 45-yard touchdown pass at Auburn... named the SEC Freshman of the Week for his efforts against Kentucky when he caught eight passes for 125 yards and two TDs... had eight catches for 132 yards and a career-best three scores in the win over Vanderbilt... the final TD catch came with 1:41 remaining and was the game-winner... three TD receptions in a game tied the school record... named the SEC Freshman of the Week and the national FWAA Freshman of the Week with his eight catch, 112-yard, two-TD performance at Tennessee... became the school's single-season touchdowns receiving leader with 11... had three straight games (Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Tennessee) in which he caught eight passes each for over 100 yards... extended his consecutive games with a touchdown streak to eight with a seven-yard reception at Arkansas... caught five passes for 112 yards against Florida, including a season-long 64-yard reception, but was held out of the end zone for the first time in his career... tied the school record with his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season against Clemson when he caught seven passes for 122 yards... broke the school bowl records and the Indepedence Bowl records when he caught 12 passes for 191 yards and a TD against Missouri... had nine catches for 170 yards in the first half alone... caught at least three passes in all 11 games in which he played.
2004: Receiver prospect who was redshirted... may have been in line for playing time, however, he injured his knee during pregame warmups vs. Georgia and took most of the season to recover.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Gaffney (S.C.) High School in 2004... played football for Coach Phil Strickland... regarded as the top wide receiver prospect in the state... ended his career with 138 receptions for 2,500 yards and 25 touchdowns... named to the High School Sports Report Statewide All-State team and Offensive Player of the Year... caught 57 passes for 897 yards and seven touchdowns his senior year... had 38 catches for 735 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior... 2002-03 Class 4A basketball Player of the Year, after helping lead Gaffney to the state championship... averaged 18 points and seven rebounds a game for his school, as the Indians finished the basketball season 28-0.
