2002 PRESEASON — In the spring he asserted himself as a real force at linebacker ... Named the most outstanding linebacker of spring practice ... Has become a leader on the defensive unit ... In the Spring Game he had six tackles and forced one fumble.

2001 — Was working as a spur following spring practice, but was moved to linebacker following the season-ending knee injury to Shannon Wadley ... Turned out to be one of the more pleasant surprises on the team, as he appeared in all 12 games with 11 starts at linebacker ... Second leading tackler on the club with 91 stops (61/30) ... Had five tackles for loss, two QB sacks, five pass breakups, and seven QB pressures ... Made the first start of his career in the win over Georgia and he responded with seven tackles, one QB pressure, and one pass breakup ...
