HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters for Bruce Cobleigh at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., graduating in 2008... named All-Cobb County as a defensive end following his senior season... posted 63 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and six sacks as a senior... also had 27 quarterback hurries, three fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown... during his junior season, played both ways and had six receptions for 123 yards as a tight end and 40 tackles, including eight for loss, at defensive end... ranked No. 79 among tight ends nationally and as the second best tight end prospect in the state of Georgia by ESPN.com... also recruited by Air Force, Connecticut, Furman, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Southern Miss and garnered interest from Duke, Southern Miss, Vanderbilt, Western Michigan and Miami (Ohio).
