2013: Redshirt freshman wide receiver... played in 11 contests, primarily on special teams... caught five passes for 42 yards... caught a nine-yard pass against Vanderbilt... had an eight-yard reception against Kentucky... logged a thee-yard reception at Arkansas... caught two passes for 22 yards in the win over Coastal Carolina... recognized at the 2013 spring game for making "Big Plays" on offense during the spring...tried out for the Carolina baseball team in the spring, but did not make the final roster.

2012: Redshirted as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Logged 34 receptions for 564 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior and 42 catches for 809 yards and 15 scores as a junior at Dillon (S.C.) High... graduated in 2012... coached by Jackie Hayes... played in the Shrine Bowl and in the Offense-Defense All-American Game in Arlington, Texas... was all-region in both football and baseball... has considered being a two-sport athlete in college... selected to the Super Southeast 120 by the Mobile (Ala.) Register... earned the Jordan Lyles Three-Sport Athlete Award... was a three-star prospect, the sixth-best player in the state and the 51st-best wide receiver by rated a four-star prospect, the nation's 21st-best wide receiver and the 131st-best player overall by a four-star recruit, the fourth-best player in the state and the 33rd-best wideout according to considered the No. 5 prospect in the state, the 37th-best wide receiver and a four-star recruit by selected Carolina over many schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida and LSU.

PERSONAL: Kwinton Smith was born March 1, 1994... is undecided on his major field of study... drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 14th round of the 2012 MLB Draft as an outfielder.
