"JJ" returns for his final season in the Garnet & Black... will compete for playing time at strong safety position this fall... presented with the "Everday Attitude" award for the defense by the coaches in the spring... has made seven starts among his 30 appearances over the past three seasons.

2013: Played in 12 games at the safety position, making seven starts... collected 25 tackles... made his first career start in the season opener against North Carolina... suffered a left shoulder injury in that contest and did not play against Georgia... returned to the starting lineup for five of the next six games... also started against Coastal Carolina... had a season-high five tackles against Vanderbilt... added four stops each against UCF and Kentucky... matched his career high with five stops in the Capital One Bowl win over Wisconsin... considered the Most Improved defensive back during the spring.

2012: Reserve safety who saw most of his action on special teams... played in 12 games... did not play against LSU... served as a backup to Brison Williams at the strong safety position... had two of his five tackles in the win at Kentucky... named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll... one of four players cited for the Outstanding Weight Room award at the 2012 Garnet & Black Spring Game.
