One of only four scholarship seniors on the squad... slated to hold down one cornerback position this season... athletic player who has also played safety during his Carolina career... has made 10 career starts... has three career interceptions, all coming during the 2012 campaign... has one career touchdown.

2012: Junior defensive back who moved back to cornerback in the spring after playing the free safety position in 2011... played in all 13 games making eight starts... credited with 44 tackles including 35 solo stops... tied for the team high with three interceptions and with six pass break ups... started each of the first seven games of the season... had a season-high seven stops in the season opener at Vanderbilt... logged five tackles and returned his first career interception 34 yards for a touchdown against East Carolina... also had a pair of pass breakups in that contest... picked off a pass and returned it 70 yards, setting up a touchdown at LSU... notched his third interception of the season in the Outback Bowl win over Michigan.

2011: Earned the starting job at the free safety position after an excellent spring practice and solid fall camp... started each of the first two games... credited with eight tackles on the season... used primarily on special teams late in the season... had a season-high three tackles at Mississippi State.

2010: Played in 11 games as a reserve cornerback... recorded four tackles... had two tackles in his career debut vs. Southern Miss... also registered two tackles in win over Troy.

2009: Redshirted as a true freshman... worked with the scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter at Beaufort High School, graduating in 2009... coached by Mark Clifford... named the 2008 Beaufort Gazette/Island Packet Defensive Player of the Year... played cornerback, quarterback, receiver, kick returner and tailback during his prep career... as a senior, had three interceptions, four blocked kicks, three fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns... selected to play in the 2008 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas... recorded 63 tackles, six interceptions and nine breakups as a junior... three-star prospect by Rivals.com and a two-star prospect by Scout.com... considered the state's 32nd-best player by Rivals.com and the 26th-best player by SuperPrep... named to PrepStar's All-Atlantic Region squad... competed in track as well, running the hurdles and sprints... considered Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Clemson and Maryland before choosing Carolina.
