2017 Unselfish Teammate Award - Defense

2017: Senior cornerback who wrapped up his second season with the Garnet & Black... suffered a broken arm in the spring game... despite that setback, started all 13 games this season and 24 over the past two campaigns... credited with 41 tackles including 35 solo stops... logged two interceptions and a team-high 12 pass breakups, giving him five INTs and 21 PBUs over two seasons... his 14 passes defended in 2017 ranked third in the SEC... matched a career high with seven tackles in the season-opening victory against NC State... made two tackles and a crucial interception against Louisiana Tech... served as a game captain at Texas A&M... credited with three tackles and a pair of pass breakups against Arkansas... matched his career high with seven tackles in the Vanderbilt win... collected two tackles and a career-best three pass breakups at Georgia... had his first career sack against Florida... intercepted a pass in the endzone to help Carolina to an Outback Bowl win over Michigan... following the season, he was recognized with the Unselfish Teammate Award for the defense... selected to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl and was invited to the NFL Combine.

2015: One of the nation's top junior college cornerbacks... played two seasons at Coffeyville C.C. in Kansas for head coach Aaron Flores... registered 37 tackles with three interceptions and a team-high 10 pass breakups, helping the 14th-ranked Red Ravens to an 8-3 record, while garnering first-team All-Jayhawk Conference and honorable mention All-America accolades in his sophomore season... was the number one-rated junior college cornerback in the country and the seventh-best JUCO prospect regardless of position according to Rivals... considered the No. 2 junior college cornerback in the country and the 16th-best JUCO prospect overall by 247Sports Composite... ESPN considered him as the top cornerback and the 10th-best junior college player in the country... rated a JUCO All-American by PrepStar.

2014: Earned first-team All-KJCCC and second-team NJCAA All-America honors after logging 27 tackles and five pass break ups as the 10th-ranked Red Ravens went 9-3 overall and 6-1 in the league in his freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Primarily played wide receiver at Mattie T. Blount High School in Eight Mile, Ala., graduating in 2014... the Leopards went 9-2 in his senior season.
