Sophomore punter who has an opportunity this spring to position himself as the favorite to win the punting duties in the fall.

2011: Competed with Joey Scribner-Howard for the starting punting chores in fall camp... fell short in that position battle and did not see any game time action.

2010: Redshirted as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Handled the kicking duties at Burns High School in Lawndale, N.C., graduating in 2010... played for coach Matt Beam... was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs... had mono as a senior which kept him sidelined for five weeks... impressed the Carolina coaches at a summer camp... also played soccer at Burns... considered a two-star prospect by both Rivals.com and Scout.com... considered the nation's 23rd-best kicker by Rivals.com... also considered Duke, Illinois and Gardner-Webb.

PERSONAL: Patrick Fish is pursuing a degree in sport and entertainment management... father, Woody Fish, is a former head football coach at Gardner-Webb.
