2013: Team's top receiver with 49 catches for 775 yards and eight touchdowns... also rushed three times for 14 yards, returned five kickoffs for a 21.6-yard average and three punts for a 5.3-yard average... threw a touchdown pass in his only attempt during the season... played in all 13 games, making 11 starts... missed most of preseason camp with a hamstring injury... did not start the season opener against North Carolina due to the injury, but did get into the contest, catching one pass for 17 yards... caught eight passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in the win over Vanderbilt... caught four passes for 88 yards in the win over UCF... caught six passes for 96 yards, including a career-long 53-yard reception, and two scores in the win at Arkansas... injured his foot in the Arkansas game and did not start at Tennessee... had his best game as a Gamecock when he caught a career-high 10 passes for a 136 yards and two touchdowns in the win at Missouri... included was a touchdown catch on a 4th-and-goal situation from the 15-yard line in the first overtime period... caught four passes for 67 yards, including a 32-yard pass for the Gamecocks' only touchdown in the win over Florida... came up big in the Capital One Bowl win over Wisconsin when he caught six passes for a career-high 140 yards and two scores and also threw a 9-yard TD to Connor Shaw... logged over 1,586 career receiving yards... two-sport standout who also played three games for the men's basketball team before giving up the sport to dedicate his full attention to the NFL Combine, which he attended in February... earned a spot on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2012: Started all 13 games... paced the squad with 600 receiving yards on 40 catches with seven touchdowns... returned 18 kickoffs at a 22.6-yard clip... after being held without a catch in the opener at Vanderbilt, caught nine passes for 161 yards combined against ECU and UAB... did not have a kickoff return in the first four games... first kick return came against Missouri and went 50 yards, setting up a touchdown... caught a 20-yard TD pass to open the scoring against Georgia... had four catches with a score at LSU... caught 21 passes for 299 yards with four TDs in the last four regular-season games, including the first two 100-yard receiving games of his career - 101 versus Tennessee and a career-high 104 yards against Arkansas, including a 42-yard score... logged a career-high seven receptions with two TDs against Clemson... five days after the Clemson game, he played a team-high 29 minutes, scoring seven points against St. John's for the Gamecock basketball team... played in four basketball games before returning to football for bowl practices... caught the game-winning touchdown pass with just seconds remaining in the Outback Bowl vs. Michigan... averaged 10 points per game in basketball... a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll... shared the Everyday Attitude & Hustle Award, presented at the spring game.
2011: Played in all 13 games in his first football season, starting twice... earned Freshman All-SEC honors as an all-purpose performer after earning the same honors on the hardwood in 2010-11... utilized in the "Wildcat" formation, as a wideout and as a kick returner... caught 17 passes for 211 yards, rushed 17 times for 106 yards, completed 3-of-4 passes for 27 yards and returned 20 kicks for a 23.1-yard average... had a 35-yard kickoff return in the season opener against East Carolina... posted a 35-yard reception against Auburn... had three receptions for 60 yards vs. the Tigers... scored his first touchdown on a 61-yard scamper on a direct snap out of the "Wildcat" formation vs. Kentucky... named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week for his performance at Mississippi State when he had 25 yards rushing, 24 yards passing and 32 yards receiving... made his first start at Arkansas... also got the start against Florida... logged his best game vs. Clemson with three catches for 71 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown reception... had two kick returns for 73 yards in the bowl win over Nebraska, including a season-long 45-yarder... member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll... on the hardcourt, he played in 24 games with 15 starts after missing seven games due to his football obligations... averaged 11.0 points, second on the squad... led the team with 3.1 assists per game... led or shared the team lead in scoring 10 times, in assists 16 times and posted 11 double-figure scoring games during sophomore campaign... scored a season high 20 points vs. Vanderbilt... hit the last-second game winning lay up in the regular season vs. Alabama.
2010: Did not participate in football... was the starting point guard on the Gamecock basketball team... earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team after leading the team with a 12.8 point average... started all 30 games... also led the team in field goal attempts (423), field goals made (138), 3-point field goal attempts (198), 3-point field goals made (61), assists (97) and minutes played (928)... led the team or shared the team lead in scoring 10 times, assists 18 times and steals nine times... posted 16 double-figure scoring games, including seven 20-point efforts and one 30-point performance (31 vs. Wofford)... scored a team-best 22 points in SEC debut, an overtime win over Vanderbilt... also collected seven rebounds and matched season high with six 3s vs. the Commodores, earning SEC Freshman of the Week honors... tallied 23 points in a win at Florida, scoring Carolina's last six points.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Berkeley High in Moncks Corner, S.C. in 2010... Football: Led the Stags to the Division II-AAAA state championship in 2009 as a quarterback for coach Jerry Brown... carried 23 times for 191 yards and four touchdowns in the state title game win... team went 14-1... gained 2,878 all-purpose yards, including 1,541 yards rushing and 23 TDs on 148 carries... also threw for 501 yards and six scores... was a finalist for South Carolina's "Mr. Football"... as a junior, logged 1,711 all-purpose yards... averaged 10 yards per carry and 21 yards per reception... also returned three kicks for touchdowns... Basketball: Four-year letterwinner for coach Charlie Harrison... a consensus four-star prospect... rated as the No. 56 overall prospect and the No. 12 point guard in the country by Scout.com... PERSONAL: Bruce Ellington graduated in 3 1/2 years with a degree in sociology... cousin of former Clemson all-ACC running back, Andre Ellington, who also wore number 23.
