2014: Senior leader of the offensive line... named first-team All-America by Sporting News, and, was a second-team All-American by Walter Camp, Associated Press and Sports Illustrated, and was a third-team selection by College Sports Madness... earned first team All-SEC honors by the coaches and and was a second-team pick by the AP... named team captain for the second-straight year... was a preseason first-team All-American by USA Today,,, Athlon's and Phil Steele... a three-time member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll... a four-year starter at left guard, has made 51 starts, the second-most in school history behind only T.J. Johnson (53)... enjoyed a mission trip to Israel during the summer prior to his senior season.

2013: Voted a permanent team captain as a junior... started every game... was a first-team midseason and third-team postseason All-SEC selection by Phil Steele... a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll... presented with the Everyday Hustle Award for the offense at the spring game.

2012: Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman... started 12 of 13 games at left guard... did not get the start at Florida, the only game he has not started in his career... earned a spot on Phil Steele's third-team Midseason All-SEC squad... a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2011: Redshirt freshman who started every game at left guard... one of seven Gamecocks to earn a start in every contest... first-team Freshman All-American by,, and Phil Steele... on the Coaches' and SEC All-Freshman team... member of the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played on both sides of the ball for coach Kevin Crosby at Bamberg-Ehrhardt (S.C.) High School, graduating in 2010... graded out at 96 percent with 60 knockdown blocks as an offensive tackle... did not give up a sack... also logged 95 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and six sacks as a defensive lineman for the Red Raiders... helped B-E reach the state 1-A quarterfinals as a senior... selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas and in the Under Armour All-American game... earned all-state honors by The State... named the Orangeburg Times and Democrat Player of the Year, first-team all-area and was an Elite 11 selection... considered a four-star prospect, rated as the nation's second-best center, the state's ninth-best player and ranked 182nd on the Rivals250 by rated a four-star prospect and the nation's third-best center by rated a four-star prospect, the nation's third-best offensive guard and 85th overall on ESPN's Top 150... ranked as the 24th-best offensive lineman in the country by SuperPrep... listed on PrepStar's Top 350 All-American team... also considered North Carolina, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Tennessee.
