Gamecocks eye ways to utilize Nosovitch's athleticism

Fourth-year player... slated to return to the quarterback role again this spring... began his career at quarterback, but moved to tight end during the spring of 2014... has been used primarily on special teams... two-time member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2014: Converted from quarterback to tight end during preseason camp... saw action in five games on special teams... a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2013: Third-string quarterback... saw his first action in the win at Arkansas... scored the game's final touchdown on a seven-yard run...completed both of his passes against Coastal Carolina... also used briefly on special teams... a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll... named the Most Improved quarterback in the spring.

2012: Redshirted as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won the Maxwell Football Club's first Pennsylvania Player of the Year award and was named to the PARADE All-America football team following his senior season... also named the Maxwell Club's winner of the 27th Jim Henry Award... is the state's career record-holder with 12,877 total yards and second all-time in the state in passing yards (9,249) and touchdown passes (106)... led Central Catholic to a state title as a junior and reached the PIAA Class 3A state semifinals as a senior... threw for 3,809 yards and 39 touchdowns and rushed for 852 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior... rushed for 1,647 yards and 25 touchdowns and threw for 3,112 yards and 43 scores as a junior... was the 2010 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Pennsylvania after leading his team to a 16-0 record and the PIAA Class 3A title... coached by Harold Fairclough... selected to play in the Big 33 All-Star Game... was a three-star prospect, the 19th-best player in the state and the 22nd-best dual-threat quarterback in the country according to rated a three-star prospect and the nation's 44th-best quarterback by a three-star recruit, the 41st-best quarterback and 16th-best player in Pennsylvania according to a three-star recruit, the eighth-best dual-threat quarterback and the 15th-best player in the state by a PrepStar All-East Region pick... had offers from Clemson, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Virginia and Temple among others.
