Junior offensive lineman who begins his fourth year in the program... listed as a backup guard entering the fall... began his career at center... working to get bigger and stronger to compete for meaningful playing time... has appeared in three games over the past two seasons.

2008: Reserve offensive lineman who saw action in each of the first two games, appearing against NC State and Vanderbilt.

2007: Saw action in one game... played five plays against South Carolina State... slotted at the left guard position after working at center in 2006.

2006: Redshirted as a true freshman... worked primarily at offensive center.

High School: Graduated from Independence High School in Charlotte, N.C., in 2006 where he was coached by Coach Tommy Knotts... led the Patriots to four state titles... Independence High never lost a game with Andrews on the roster... all-conference selection as a sophomore, junior and senior, earning all-state recognition his junior and senior years... recognized as Independence's Most Valuable Lineman... played on the interior of the Independence offensive line, seeing action at both guard and center... considered to be very mobile as a pulling guard... played alongside fellow Gamecock Hutch Eckerson for the North Carolina team in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas... prep teammate of Gamecock wide receiver Jason Barnes.
