2001 - Was redshirted after missing some practice time with a back injury ... Coaches were impressed with his performance late in the year when working with the scout squad ... Appeared in two games (Boise State and Georgia) before being held out the remainder of the year with the back injury ... Caught two passes for eight yards ... In the spring he competed with the track team as a jumper and sprinter ... In the Spring Game, he had three receptions for 59 yards, with a long gain of 27 yards ... Competed at the 2002 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
2000 - First-year player who transferred to USC from Kemper Junior College ... Appeared in all 12 games with four starts ... Had 17 catches for 227 yards, with a per catch average of 13.4 ... Started against Eastern Michigan, Mississippi State, Alabama and Arkansas ... His 35-yard reception from Phil Petty late in the MSU game helped set up USC's go-ahead touchdown play ... That grab came over Bulldog all-America cornerback Fred Smoot ... Also had a 28-yard catch from Petty against Eastern Michigan, a game in which he had a season-high eight receptions for 100 yards ... Against Clemson he caught two passes for 27 yards.
JUNIOR COLLEGE - One of the leading receivers in the junior college ranks ... Earned junior college All-America honors ... Had 59 receptions for 1,375 yards and seven touchdowns ... Against Northeast Oklahoma, he had seven catches for 256 yards and two touchdowns ... Played for Coach David Ross at Kemper Junior College ... Also considered Arizona State, Michigan State and Missouri.
HIGH SCHOOL - Went to Ritenow High School where he played for Coach Rich Shelton ... Played one year of football and also played basketball ... First-team all-state as a kick returner.
