COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina junior point guard Eric Smith has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Smith matched a career high with seven assists, while committing just one turnover in a 91-74 victory over Jacksonville at Colonial Life Arena last Friday.  Smith's seven assists propelled the Gamecocks to 20 on the night, just two shy of matching a season high in the category.  Smith also contributed seven points and one steal in the contest.
