  • The Gamecocks lead the overall series 27-1 and hold a 15-0 lead in Columbia. Carolina defeated the Cougars last season 67-55 in Columbia. Charleston's only victory in the series was on Jan. 17, 1930 in Charleston. (40-32)
  • Dominique Archie has started all 41 games in his career. Mike Holmes celebrated his 20th birthday on Saturday.
  • College of Charleston is coached by former Gamecock basketball player Bobby Cremins. Cremins is 1-3 all-time against Carolina. At halftime, Cremins was one of the five former players that were honored for the 100 Year Celebration of Gamecock Basketball (Frank Standard, Gary Gregor, Skip Harlicka, and Jack Thompson).
