  • South Carolina leads the series 75-23 and holds a 47-9 mark in Columbia.
  • Sam Muldrow made his first career start.
  • Dominique Archie made his 32nd career start.
  • The Gamecocks had 24 assists on their 37 field goals made.  Downey (11) and Fredrick (7) had 18 of the 24 assists.
  • Devan Downey's 11 assists tied the Colonial Center record.  Cliff Hawkins, University of Kentucky, recorded 11 assists on March 3, 2004 against the Gamecocks. The 11 assists also tied his career high that he recorded against North Carolina A&T on December 30, 2005.  Downey also recorded a career high with 9 rebounds.  His previous high was 7 vs. Tennessee Tech on December 17, 2005.  The 6 steals was also a new career high.  His previous career high came against Marquette on January 7, 2006. 
  • Downey became the first Gamecock guard to record a double-double since Chuck Eidson collected the school's only triple-double in the 82-65 win over South Carolina State, posting 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in only the second game of the Colonial Center.  One game prior to that, Eidson missed his first triple-double by one assist when he collected 19 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists in USC's 71-66 win over ETSU which opened the Colonial Center.
  • The 90+ points scored by South Carolina marked the first time that the Gamecocks scored 90+ points in consecutive games since December 21, 1995 against the Citadel (112-61) and December 30 against Radford (90-69). 
  • The 103 points broke the Colonial Center record which was held by Vanderbilt who recorded 99 on March 3, 2007 against the Gamecocks.  The 103 points is also the first time for the Gamecocks scoring 100+ since scoring 100 against Furman on December 30, 1996.
  • The 61 point win is tied for the third largest win in Carolina history.  The Gamecocks defeated the 402nd Signal Batallion 68-7 (61) on January 19, 1918.  The largest Gamecock victory was 84-9 (75) against Presbyterian College on January 4, 1934 in Columbia and the second largest victory was against the Florence Stars, 80-14 (66) on January 2, 1948.
  • The Citadel is the first team that South Carolina held under 50 points since allowing Florida to score 49 in the 2006 SEC Tournament Championship game on March 12, 2006.
