    Columbia, S.C. - The 2009 MLB Draft has concluded with six Gamecock players drafted by professional teams. The list includes Justin Dalles (6th, Orioles), Sam Dyson (10th, A's), DeAngelo Mack (13th, Yankees), Nick Ebert (32nd, Yankees), Alex Farotto (34th, White Sox) and Parker Bangs (46th, Pirates).

    In addition, to those six players, the Gamecocks also had six signees selected in the MLB Draft. Those players are infielder Chris Owings (1st-supplemental, Diamondbacks), catcher/third baseman Wil Myers (3rd, Royals), right-handed pitcher/infielder Brooks Hall (4th, Brewers), infielder Adrian Morales (45th, Astros), right-handed pitcher Colby Holmes (47th, Braves) and first baseman/third baseman Christian Walker (49th, Dodgers)

    With the exception of Farotto, who just completed his senior season, the other 11 current/future Gamecock players will have until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17 to decide on continuing their careers at South Carolina or signing with their respective professional club that selected them in this year's draft.
